Happy Wedding Wednesday again loves!!
This engagement session is just pure eye candy! I’ve ALWAYS wanted to visit Alaska and just haven’t made my way over there yet. But looking at these gorgeous photos, I feel like I’m there!
Leah and Zach had their stunning engagement session on January 12th, 2014 in Alaska. Their Alaska Winter engagement session is just spectacular and pretty hard to beat!
From their wonderful photographer….
These two are both hard working nurses in the Military and are on the adventure of their lives planning their Georgia Wedding (this coming Fall) from Anchorage, Alaska.
Leah and Zach met us in Palmer for their Alaska Winter Engagement Session on a peaceful and snowy afternoon. Their gorgeous Weimaraner pup named Brooks was eager to meet us and explore the snowy scene perfectly set for love. After some fun with Brooks, we chatted with Leah and Zach while venturing out into the frozen river. I really enjoyed hearing how Leah and Zach met and fell in love. Leah and Zach are both nurses in the military who met in the beautiful city of San Antonio Texas at their first duty station and quickly knew there just might be something special between them. After standing the test of time with deployments and other challenges in the military, Leah and Zach’s love grew and they began to get excited about their future. Soon Zach was shopping for rings, and before long plans were in the works to pop the question to Leah. Zach decided to hide the ring in his jacket pocket on the way down to a vacation with Leah’s family on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. He did not plan on Leah getting cold on the plane and wearing his ring-filled jacket! In addition to the close call on the plane, Zach managed to discretely ask Leah’s father for her hand in marriage with Leah and her cousins only feet away to avoid being suspicious. Eager and struggling to keep the secret, Leah’s Dad encouraged Zach to ask sooner than later. On the night Zach was ready to propose, they went to play tennis. Zach competed with Leah’s younger sister, while Leah relaxed and tried to soothe her sunburned feet…which, little did she know, were resting on top of a tennis bag once again hiding her ring! After the games were played, Zach asked for a photo with Leah, which is when he asked her to be his bride. They love their proposal photos because while Zach is asking to marry Leah, she is posing for the photo – hands on her hips and all – which makes for a hilarious photo where Leah looks like she is reacting to Zach’s marriage proposal with a sassy response. Don’t you just love real love stories!;)And, of course, Leah said “yes”. Leah and Zach are planning their wedding in Leah’s home state of Georgia and are excited and ready for the wedding and exciting honeymoon planned!
And as you know – I just adore the snowflake shapes lately, so when the idea popped into my head, we placed Leah’s beautiful engagement ring next to a snowflake on Zach’s jacket – both seem so crystal clear and perfect if you ask me! Though Leah and Zach were ready for a hot drink after numbing their toes in the snow, we had a wonderful time getting to know the two of them and photographing this exciting time in their life. Leah and Zach – Congratulations to you both and we can’t wait to watch your love grow!
Simply amazing! So romantic and their pup is way too cute! Wishing you both all the best and can’t wait to see your wedding.
