Happy Wedding Wednesday babes!!
As I’ve said many many many times before, I am super in love with South Carolina. I think Southern weddings are so elegant and regal. Reminds me all of things classy. Today’s wedding is all of that and soooo much more!
Tiffany and Nico were married on May 17th, 2014 at the The Wickliffe House in South Carolina. With so many personalized touches and a truly elegant bride, this wedding is major!! (One of my favorites!)
From The Bride…..
We never really thought about a vision for our wedding, but we always knew we wanted to get married in Charleston, SC. It is one of our favorite places to visit and we wanted to share the beautiful city with our family and friends! The vision of our wedding came from two things: 1) The beautiful Wickliffe House’s decor (we knew when we saw it) and 2) a picture of a bouquet of flowers I saw on-line. From there it all fell into place. The charming historic decor of the Wickliffe House and the romantic yet simple flowers were a perfect match to become the base of everything. The colors of the flowers are neutral – blush, ivory, taupe, champagne – with a twist of gold added in. These colors are infused throughout everything in our wedding – invitations, bridesmaid dresses, welcome bags, menus, etc. My friends are very stylish so all I asked was that they chose a beautiful long dress, within the color scheme. The dresses they chose are beautiful, but the key thing is that they love what they are wearing, which is so important! The groomsman will be looking handsome in Vera Wang Tuxes! It was important to us to have that “romantic feel” for the ceremony and reception. There will be a lot of candles inside the house (both upstairs and down) and outside lights will be hung throughout the trees above the black and white checkered dance floor for the outside reception on the front lawn. The activities will include the ceremony on the front lawn under the magnolia tree (conducted in both English and Spanish). A cocktail hour on the second floor of the Wickliffe House. A seated formal dinner on the first floor and a reception under the lights on the front lawn. We love food, we love fried green tomatoes and goat cheese and Nico, being from Chile, loves meat! Chile is an amazing country and we are so excited some of Nico’s family and friends are able to celebrate with us! Throughout the evening, you will see things that will remind us of Chile – Pisco Sours as the specialty cocktail, empanadas and a Chilean dance call the Cueca! All in all, our family and friends support us in so many ways, so we want this entire weekend to be a way to say thank you for helping us become who we are!
Sending many congrats to Tiffany and Nico!!
